📋 Description

• Design and implement a comprehensive, risk-based global internal audit program aligned with IIA International standards and best practices • Update the audit program annually and refresh it dynamically as regulatory obligations and business risks evolve • Provide internal audit coverage of capital, supervisory controls, AML/KYC/KYT, operational, capital adequacy, and digital asset custody operations • Coordinate with external auditors on regulatory audit requirements • Maintain regulatory examination readiness • Present findings, audit plans, and emerging risks to the Board, relevant committees, and senior management • Build and lead an independent, risk-based audit function across MoonPay • Provide the Board and senior leadership with independent assurance on risk management, controls, and governance across a multi-entity global footprint

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive internal audit experience • Significant experience within regulated financial institutions and regulated trading or market infrastructure entities • Hands-on experience auditing digital asset custody, crypto trading platforms, or blockchain-based financial infrastructure • Deep familiarity with financial institution safety-and-soundness standards, trust and fiduciary obligations, and regulatory examination processes • Experience coordinating annual regulatory audit obligations with external auditors for a licensed trading entity • Active CIA or CPA certification • CISA required or to be obtained within 12 months • Bachelor’s degree required • Big 4 background in fintech is a bonus • Experience in a high-growth technology company or startup environment is a bonus • Familiarity with MiCA, FCA, MAS, or equivalent digital asset regimes is a bonus • Experience with Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs, or similar is a bonus • Knowledge of proof-of-reserves methodologies, stablecoins, tokenised assets, or DeFi audit considerations is a bonus
