📋 Description

• Provide technical instruction and assistance to lower-level field service representatives regarding equipment installation, operation, repair and maintenance • Perform installation, service and on-site repairs of Morris & Associates heat exchangers and associated refrigeration equipment • Respond to emergency or troublesome equipment repair requests • Provide technical support from the field or home office • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, ammonia and halocarbon-based refrigeration systems • Replace faulty refrigeration parts and rebuild valves, compressors and controls • Install, service and maintain industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, including ice machines and heat exchangers • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and company safety standards • Observe and test newly installed systems • Stay current on refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics and boiler technology • Lead and mentor technicians on techniques, safety practices and troubleshooting methods • Maintain accurate service records, documentation and work orders • Support customer maintenance teams regarding Morris & Associates equipment • Analyze refrigeration malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Previous experience working with ammonia-based, commercial or industrial refrigeration systems • Senior-level refrigeration technician certified to work on both ammonia and halocarbon industrial systems • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical instructions • Ability to use various tools without needing supervision • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment • Experience analyzing refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings • Experience inspecting and troubleshooting air compressors, pumps, refrigeration rooms and freezers • Experience with 3-phase motor control systems • Ability to respond to unplanned breakdowns with a sense of urgency • Ability to work independently of direct supervision • Comfortable working in a frequent travel environment • Customer communication skills, including the ability to gain customer trust • Proficient written and verbal communication skills • Computer and smartphone use skills, including filing reports from the field • Possess a valid travel passport or ability to obtain one post-employment • Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background Check • Clean Driving Record • Licenses or certifications in RETA CIRO or CARO, E.P.A, OSHA, RMP • Ability to sit up to 10–12 hours per day • Ability to stand up to 10–12 hours per day • Ability to walk up to 6 hours per day • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 20 times per day • Ability to use a respirator • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
