📋 Description

• The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the public safety design and implementation of solutions for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies. • Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN and CEN networks. • High level of customer and consultant interaction involving customer design reviews, customer witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. • System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments. • Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation. • Radio system licensing (FCC/Industry). • Preparation of system fleet map, encryption and radio programming templates. • Complete system documentation. • Live system cutovers and upgrades.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline • 7+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 10 years of engineering or technical experience • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. • Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture is a plus. • Certifications a plus through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar a plus.
