• Apply specialized clinical knowledge to categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records • Ensure quality submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Maintain a high accuracy threshold • Prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines across concurrent tasks and team requests • Manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications using team resources • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements from federal, state, payer, and other agencies • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned • Work under the direction of the Manager or Senior Manager • Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners across the country
• Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Excel) • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear communication and ability to adjust style and tone when collaborating • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple accounts concurrently and adapt to shifting timelines and priorities • Ability to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Responsibility for keeping PHI secure and confidential • At least 1 year of NCDR/ACC abstraction experience in LAAO, TVT, CathPCI, Chest Pain/MI, Afib Ablation, and/or EP Device • Part-time role; team members working 30 or more hours weekly are considered full-time for benefits purposes
