📋 Description

• Apply specialized clinical knowledge to categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from nuanced patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines across multiple concurrent tasks and team requests • Manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications using team resources • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Perform other assigned responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Must have direct clinical data abstraction experience within the NSQIP registry in the past year • Active SCR certification • Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear communication and ability to adjust style and tone when collaborating with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple accounts and shifting timelines and priorities • Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Ability to maintain PHI securely and confidentially • Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship • Direct clinical experience (preferred) • RN, LPN, RT, or RCIS credentials (preferred)
