📋 Description

• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from nuanced patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize, organize, and complete multiple concurrent tasks and team requests under tight deadlines • Manage expectations, flag obstacles, and propose timely solutions • Navigate EMR and registry/case-entry systems • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business-rule documents • Identify process-improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Direct clinical experience abstraction experience within 1 year • RN or LPN Credential or substantial clinical experience • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear and consistent communication with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Ability to maintain PHI security and confidentiality • Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship • Direct Vascular Quality Initiative abstraction experience • Direct abstraction experience in BMC2 VIC • Exposure to multiple EMR systems and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Experience with M2S software • Experience abstracting at least one listed module • Experience abstracting Inferior Vena Cava Filter (required)
