📋 Description

• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from nuanced patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data in specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize and organize multiple concurrent tasks and team requests • Meet tight deadlines and manage expectations, obstacles, and solutions • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities • Stay current on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Direct clinical experience abstraction experience within 1 year • RN or LPN Credential or substantial clinical experience • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear, consistent communication and ability to adjust style and tone • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to adapt to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Ability to keep PHI secure and confidential • Legal authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship • Direct Vascular Quality Initiative abstraction experience • Direct abstraction experience in BMC2 VIC • Exposure to multiple EMR systems and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Experience with M2S software • Experience abstracting at least one listed module, including Inferior Vena Cava Filter (required)
