📋 Description

• Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners through data abstraction and clinical quality data management • Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and mine registry/case information from nuanced, unstructured patient medical records • Collect and report eligible Trauma cases under current state mandates and national accrediting agencies • Ensure accurate submission of data to specified registries or measure data repositories • Support partners' ACS Accreditation using NTDB/TQIP quality tools • Perform timely abstraction and apply knowledge of standards supporting quality patient care • Stay current on federal, state, payer, and other regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline tasks and processes • Support colleague development and meaningful collaboration across CDQS and SCDS teams • Participate in on-the-job learning, continuing education, and CEU opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working with multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical aptitude and interest in learning new systems and technology • Ability to manage time across multiple accounts and shifting timelines and priorities • Responsibility for keeping PHI secure and confidential • AIS 15 Coding Certification required • At least 6 months of experience abstracting in the Trauma Registry at any Trauma Level • Exposure to EMRs and clinical databases • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship
