📋 Description

• Support the Company's customer-centric business model as a key member of the Customer Team • Understand and identify customer needs • Support pull-through activities relative to customer strategy • Communicate product information meaningfully and relevantly to individual customers • Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs • Engage in informed product discussions with healthcare professional customers • Serve as primary point of contact for select customer accounts • Meet with key customers and personnel to understand practice structures, business models, influencers and network structures • Identify business opportunities and coordinate with the customer team to develop customer strategies • Focus on better health outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients • Provide input into resource allocation decisions • Select programs and services from the resource library to address customer needs • Maintain and share current account and network information with relevant stakeholders • Influence beyond the assigned geography or product area • Use technological capabilities and multiple channels to engage customers • Execute all responsibilities in compliance with applicable laws, policies and regulations • Position the Company's HIV products against competitors for appropriate patient types using approved resources • Assess market trends and proactively recommend actions for future business needs • Ask strategic questions to understand customer healthcare needs and use insights to develop customized business strategies • Identify customer and market segments, industry conditions and Specialty Pharmacy opportunities • Manage the total Virology product portfolio through opportunity prioritization, customer segmentation, targeting and business analysis • Articulate HIV payer-environment complexities and stakeholder roles in product access • Develop and execute account plans with Virology Account Team stakeholders • Collaborate with Community Liaisons, IDS executives, District members and other cross-functional stakeholders • Build and manage relationships with difficult-to-access customers in a “no sample” environment • Operate with a business-owner mindset through changing business cycles and flexible matrix configurations • Cover the Silver Spring, Maryland territory and surrounding areas including Silver Spring, Bethesda, Columbia, Annapolis, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia-Fairfax, Alexandria and Leesburg

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years Sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience • Valid Driver's license • Willing to travel within the assigned territory to visit customers in-person and for national sales meetings/conferences • Minimum of two years working in account management or sales with Infectious Disease customers preferred • HIV product experience and/or launch experience preferred • Specialty sales experience across multiple specialty markets preferred • Experience in pharma, biotech or medical device sales preferred • Experience developing and executing plans for engaging customers and meeting customer needs • Experience establishing, developing and maintaining relationships • Experience working in a highly regulated industry or environment where compliance to laws and policies is critical • Account experience working in complex hospital systems, teaching institutions and community hospitals • Skill in identifying account inter-dependencies and building partnerships with key stakeholders/departments • Experience with complex payer environments, especially pharmacy stakeholders • Experience interacting with scientific thought leaders and developing advocates across an adoption continuum • Ability to develop customer relationships in a challenging-to-access or “no sampling” environment • High level of business acumen and account management skills • Current relationships with key opinion leaders within designated account preferred • Leadership, planning and organization, self-motivation and initiative, ability to learn, understand and convey complex information • Understanding of ethics, integrity and working in a highly compliant environment • Required skills: Adaptability, Hospital Sales, Pharmaceutical Sales Training, Sales Calls, Sales Metrics, Sales Pipeline Management, Sales Presentations, Sales Process Management, Sales Territory Management, Sales Training • Willingness to travel 75% • Valid driving license required • No visa sponsorship
