📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for web, API, and/or mobile applications • Collaborate with Development teams to understand system architecture and implementation • Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming with Product Owner teams • Translate product requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive test automation scripts • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with engineers • Report defects, verify fixes, and contribute to continuous quality assurance improvement • Perform root cause analysis of test failures and assist with debugging • Ensure test data setup and environment readiness for automation runs • Maintain automation documentation and publish test execution status reports with feature-level coverage traceability • Communicate test status and coverage to stakeholders • Adhere to risk, regulatory, policy, and control standards; escalate risk-related issues • Support a culture of belonging and reflect the M&T Bank brand • Maintain internal control standards and implement audit and regulatory findings • Share production-support accountability through post-production validation with technology and operations teams • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ software quality assurance and control experience, with creation and maintenance of test scripts for desktop/web applications/API/webservices testing, or a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience in lieu of a degree • Minimum of 2 years’ software quality assurance and control experience • Strong programming skills in one or more pertinent languages • Sound understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and processes • Sound knowledge of agile development methodologies and Development Operations practices • Familiarity with pertinent defect tracking systems • Strong problem-solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Experience testing desktop/web applications, APIs, and web services • Preferred: minimum of 7 years’ software quality assurance and control experience • Preferred: experience testing cloud-based applications and APIs • Preferred: strong Cash & Trading domain expertise, including Trust Accounting Platform and its ecosystem • Exposure to fintech platforms, emerging technologies, modern digital ecosystems, and integration patterns • Highly preferred: exposure to AI concepts and tools, including AI-assisted testing, test data generation, and intelligent automation • Preferred: ISTQB or similar QA certification • Preferred: experience with performance and load testing tools • Preferred: exposure to security testing practices and tools
