📋 Description

• Supervise and direct Claims Department activities • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, investor guidelines, and applicable state/federal laws and regulations • Enhance staff performance through goal setting, training, and coaching • Monitor internal and external audit findings • Ensure claims are filed according to investor, agency, and insurer requirements • Participate in implementing and developing procedures to increase efficiency • Adjust procedures to required changes • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly loan status updates for client calls • Review and approve department quality review responses to internal and external audits • Manage changes in daily, weekly, and monthly volume • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and performance scorecards for direct reports • Facilitate and assist with training for new and existing employees • Review exception reports for system data integrity and provide trends to management • Resolve escalations from team members within the supervisor’s scope • Perform other assigned duties • Collaborate with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • 6+ years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claims and/or the legal field • 2+ years of supervisory experience • Strong knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry • Understanding of claims processing for HUD, FHLMC, FNMA, and VA • Strong knowledge of foreclosure process and appropriate guidelines • Strong leadership and management skills • LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) experience • Ability to motivate and train staff • Ability to manage time and priorities • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues • Ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours • Ability to work early, late, or weekend hours as needed • Overtime required as necessary
