📋 Description

• Provides strategic leadership for NAIS’s work at the intersection of school climate and culture; diversity, inclusion, and belonging; and student well-being • Oversees development, advancement, and curation of online and digital resources • Ensures that resources reflect, and are relevant to, the different contexts of member schools • Translates research into actionable, scalable tools and resources for a wide range of schools • Partners with internal teams to design research initiatives and explore data insights • Develops and advances the Gather conference • Serves as a visible national leader in the field through frequent conference presentations, publications, and other forms of public engagement • Establishes and manages strategic partnerships to expand NAIS’s impact • Collaborates closely with the NAIS Management Team to develop, monitor, and manage the budget for the portfolio.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred in a related field • Demonstrated leadership and expertise in diversity, inclusion, belonging, student well-being, and school culture • Extensive knowledge of independent schools preferred • This role requires demonstrated ability to design, interpret, and translate qualitative and quantitative research into actionable insights that inform strategy, resource development, and field-wide practice. • Strong communication, and organizational skills • Excellent research and analytical skills • Strong management and supervisory skills • Previous experience managing significant organizational revenue and expense budgets • Demonstrated ability to develop strong volunteer and professional partnerships • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; able to adapt and learn new software and web-based systems.
