📋 Description

• Manage end-to-end transport of IT hardware, including rack systems, servers, and data center equipment, across domestic US, inbound international, and outbound US lanes • Coordinate domestic and international freight scheduling, carrier selection, bookings, and delivery execution • Handle RMA and RMS shipments with vendors, carriers, and internal teams • Manage equipment transfers between warehouses and data center facilities • Track active shipments and resolve transit issues, delays, and exceptions • Develop contingency plans and alternative routing strategies • Coordinate time-critical air freight and end-to-end tracking • Coordinate with data center operations for staging, buffering, and just-in-time deployment • Maintain in-transit inventory records and chain-of-custody documentation • Manage shipment documentation in Jira, TMS, or equivalent systems • Process and reconcile logistics invoices and transportation payments • Establish secure shipment protocols with the security team • Ensure compliance with DOT, import/export, customs, and trade regulations • Maintain audit-ready documentation for SOX and external compliance requirements • Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs with carriers and 3PL partners • Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions • Partner with hardware engineering, procurement, finance, and data center operations • Coordinate international shipping with OEM suppliers, primarily in Taiwan • Serve as the primary escalation point for US transport issues • Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process standardization • Forecast transportation demand based on expansion and deployment plans • Identify cost optimization opportunities • Track and report logistics costs and variances • Provide dashboards, reporting, and operational analytics

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics management — ideally within technology, data center, or hardware supply chain environments • Proven experience managing both domestic and international freight operations, including LTL/FTL and air freight shipments, carrier and forwarder relationships, and 3PL coordination • Hands-on experience with RMA/RMS shipment processes and reverse logistics flows • Familiarity with TMS platforms, Jira, or similar systems used for shipment tracking and documentation • Strong understanding of US domestic carrier regulations, DOT requirements, and international freight compliance including customs clearance and import/export procedures • Experience managing large, heavy, or high-value freight is strongly preferred • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with a high standard for accuracy and completeness • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently in a remote environment • Based in the United States; East Coast or Midwest location required (ET/CT time zones), to support overlap with European business hours • Experience in a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large-scale data center build-out environment is nice to have • Experience with Asia-Pacific supply chains, particularly Taiwan-to-US freight lanes, including familiarity with customs brokerage, import duties, and trade compliance is nice to have • Background in supply chain analytics, reporting, or continuous improvement methodologies is nice to have • Familiarity with physical security protocols for high-value hardware shipments is nice to have • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and provide proof of employment eligibility as a condition of hire
