• Respond to patients experiencing sexual assault, human trafficking, and domestic violence at NMC and BMC campus sites • Respond to NMC colleagues experiencing domestic violence/IPV through the SOAR program or workplace violence response • Respond via telehealth to Norfolk and Hastings emergency departments for patients experiencing sexual assault and human trafficking • Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other healthcare providers • Meet holistic care needs for designated patient groups • Work in long-term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural care environments • Work a maximum of seven 12-hour tele-SANE shifts per month • Primarily cover nights, weekends, holidays, and gap fills
• 2-3 years minimum Nursing SANE/Forensic Examiner experience • Bachelor's degree in a clinical field required • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required • Effective communication skills required • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Nebraska • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program • Completion of initial IAFN Online SANE Training within 12 weeks of hire • Direct patient care experience preferred • Prior experience in emergency department, women's services, or trauma care preferred based on position • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred • Specialty training such as STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care, or other specialty courses preferred • Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred • Proficient with email applications preferred • Proficient with departmental equipment and systems such as patient care equipment, telecommunication systems, information systems, pneumatic tube system, general patient care supplies, and transport equipment preferred • TNCC preferred • ACLS training preferred
