📋 Description

• Collect severely delinquent student loans to protect Nelnet assets • Initiate manual outbound collection attempts • Initiate a small percentage of incoming calls • Perform some auto-dialer work • Contact borrowers by telephone, mail, and email to establish payment arrangements • Determine appropriate plans of action to resolve past-due accounts and negotiate payment plans • Perform skip-tracing activities to locate borrowers • Provide account information and history to educate borrowers about the issue • Update demographic and other borrower information in the servicing system • Perform additional collection activities related to collection documents and reports • Commit to the Performance Based Organization (PBO) and Easy To Do Business With (ETDBW) philosophy • Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement

🎯 Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required • 2 year customer service, collection and general work experience preferred • Customer-focused • Analytical skills • Strong oral communication skills • Listening comprehension and reading comprehension • Intermediate math • Attention to detail • Customer service orientation • PC skills • 10-key proficiency • Must live within a 60-mile radius of Lincoln, NE or Brownsville, TX • Monday-Friday availability from 11:30 a.m. CST to 8:00 p.m. CST
