📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and innovate the Design Platform central to Netflix’s product development lifecycle • Contribute to, maintain, and expand critical React design component libraries and capabilities supporting hundreds of internal users • Implement AI solutions when appropriate to accelerate product design workflows • Lead projects from ideation through implementation and rollout • Conduct internal user research to inform prioritization and feature development • Complete medium to large features independently • Serve as primary point of contact for Design System portfolio support requests • Collaborate with designers and engineers across teams to maintain Design System integrity and reliability • Participate in an on-call rotation to meet critical SLAs • Conduct design and code reviews • Gather stakeholder input and help define long-term technical strategy for the design tooling portfolio • Communicate project impact to partner teams

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping software • Experience with single page applications architecture, patterns, and design • Experience fetching data from GraphQL and REST APIs • Experience with client-side instrumentation and observability • Proven ability to lead projects and clearly and effectively communicate with partners • Strong project scoping and project management skills • Able to design, architect, debug, test, and create well-documented code • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ownership mentality and ability to identify opportunities and drive technical roadmaps • Thoughtful, practical problem-solving approach that considers tradeoffs and avoids over-engineering • Data-driven decision-making using qualitative and quantitative data • Strong intuition for user experience flows • Expert in managing web applications with complex state management • Current/former professional experience working with Figma Plugin • Open-source project contributions are a bonus
