• Lead the internal engine behind New Energy Nexus's global fundraising and business development efforts • Report to the Chief Executive Officer • Develop a living, prioritized development strategy using proposal outcomes, funder conversations, market signals and organizational learnings • Synthesize funder intelligence into clear fundraising priorities • Identify focus areas across programs and geographies based on funder appetite, pipeline strength and organizational priorities • Maintain visibility into the funding pipeline by funder, program, chapter and stage • Flag pipeline risks, gaps and unrestricted-versus-restricted balance issues • Translate strategy into guidance on opportunity prioritization, proposal repositioning and team investment • Advise the CEO and program leads on funding strategy • Lead and develop the global platform-level development team, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance management • Translate strategy into rolling team work plans with aligned ownership, resources and timelines • Build collaboration across platform staff, country leaders, fundraisers and program leads • Run fundraising operating rhythms, including pipeline reviews, proposal coordination and prioritization check-ins • Coordinate multi-country and multi-program proposals, integrating inputs into cohesive narratives and budgets • Build and maintain a central library of fundraising collateral • Draft and maintain funder and conference decks using modular content • Partner with the Chief Communications Officer on messaging, program updates and brand standards • Provide country leads and fundraisers with tools, templates, frameworks and support • Build feedback loops between engagement, strategy, priorities and planning • Own fundraising CRM and pipeline-tracking systems, ensuring data quality and consistent use • Produce regular and ad hoc leadership reports and dashboards on pipeline health, funder trends and fundraising goals • Standardize proposal, reporting and stewardship templates and processes • Track outcomes against strategy and refine it as data develops • Ensure fundraising protocols and internal and external reporting are completed on time and to consistent quality standards • Establish clear visibility into global pipeline priorities, risks and opportunities • Build an effective operating rhythm and improve coordination across platform, country and program teams • Establish consistent CRM and pipeline management practices • Create an accessible library of standardized fundraising collateral and tools • Establish feedback loops between funder intelligence, performance and development strategy
• 8+ years of experience across nonprofit fundraising/development, development strategy and/or development operations • At least 5 years working directly within nonprofit or philanthropic fundraising • Deep practical understanding of the fundraising cycle, funder decision-making, proposal development and stewardship • Strong track record leading complex philanthropic/grant proposals, ideally involving multiple programmes, geographies or internal stakeholders • Demonstrated experience turning frontline or field-level input into strategy and prioritization • Demonstrated people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, setting priorities and allocating team capacity • Experience leading a distributed team is strongly preferred • Experience operating in a global or matrix organisation and coordinating stakeholders who do not report directly to them • Comfortable using CRM and pipeline data for fundraising decisions, forecasting and team management • Familiarity with the climate, clean energy, or entrepreneurship support landscape is a strong plus • Experience conducting dedicated funder-market or landscape research is advantageous • Structured, analytical thinking and ability to synthesize qualitative field input into recommendations • Adaptability, self-starter attitude, and growth mindset • High emotional intelligence, trust-building ability, cultural sensitivity and curiosity • Exceptional written communication skills • Strong project management skills • Comfortable serving as an internal partner rather than the primary external face of fundraising • Ability to work with a global team across time zones, with periodic travel for internal meetings and conferences/convenings • Proficiency in database/CRM management, Google Workspace, and Slack • Foundational knowledge of global clean energy and climate change solutions and ecosystems, or willingness to self-learn • Some meetings may take place outside regular work hours • No relocation assistance is available • Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and responses to application questions
