📋 Description

• Obtain initial behavioral health authorization and complete concurrent reviews • Review the need for denial of stay with the assigned clinical treatment team when a patient no longer meets acute care criteria • Facilitate appropriate action upon denial • Maintain current knowledge of contract requirements for all third-party payor groups • Track each patient’s course of treatment through inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and IOP programs • Apply knowledge of gender, cultural differences, and age-appropriate care in Utilization Review • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of nursing practices gained through an accredited school of nursing • Current RN licensure with the State Board of Nursing • Knowledge of and compliance with the Nurse Practice Act • Previous 1 year utilization review experience • Knowledge of UR Standards of Excellence • Professional attitude in all aspects of nursing performance • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook • Ability to work hours in the Central Time Zone
