📋 Description

• Provide supervision for NPs and PAs delivering virtual care to South Carolina patients • Ensure APPs follow standards and protocols set by the Chief Medical Officer • Ensure assigned APPs deliver quality, evidence-based care • Comply with chart review and supervision policies • Provide supervision up to the maximum number allowed by the state medical board • Assure an efficient and smooth patient visit experience • Follow company patient-care protocols • Perform complete physical exams and assessments for urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentations • Select, order, and perform tests and procedures • Define and document differential diagnoses • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary for the plan of care • Interpret laboratory, radiology, EKG, and other diagnostic results • Prescribe appropriate medication doses and explain correct use • Maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards • Handle sensitive, complex, and confidential patient issues • Establish effective working relationships with employees, patients, and families • Learn and use computer software programs • Enter and maintain accurate data and statistical information • Prepare clear and concise reports • Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants • Follow company protocols and policies

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) • Graduate of an accredited medical school • Valid Texas Medical License or willing to obtain prior to start date • Valid South Carolina Medical License or willing to obtain prior to start date • Outstanding knowledge of medications, side effects and contraindications • Outstanding patient management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting preferred • BLS certified • Unrestricted DEA license • Board Certified • Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking • Cognitive skills for math, reading, filing, and sterile technique skills • Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, and families • Vision for near, mid-range, far, and accommodation • Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch • Physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, and reaching above the head and below the waist • Ability to lift 30–40 pounds • Ability to work with exposure to blood and body fluids, chemicals, and infectious disease • Stable high-speed internet • Professional appearing work space/background and quiet environment for remote patient care
