📋 Description

• Act as the senior technical resource for Nextracker installation tooling, tool-support workshops, and field deployment activities • Plan, schedule, and execute delivery, setup, commissioning, calibration, relocation, and demobilization of tool-support workshops and field equipment • Diagnose and resolve advanced mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related problems • Translate tooling schematics, product literature, service documentation, and safe operating procedures into field instructions and corrective actions • Create, review, and maintain Job Hazard Analyses, site-specific safety plans, method statements, inspection records, and EH&S documentation • Lead field tool-support activities with owners, customers, subcontractors, construction teams, Field Operations, Engineering, Service, and management • Forecast tooling demand, construction schedules, site requirements, staffing needs, equipment availability, and documentation priorities • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training on tool setup, safe operation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation best practices • Develop and improve preventive-maintenance practices, troubleshooting guides, inspection checklists, training materials, and standard work • Capture field observations, failure trends, corrective actions, and lessons learned and communicate recommendations to Engineering, Product, Quality, Service, and Operations • Maintain service records, parts usage, tool inventories, calibration records, repair documentation, and customer communication • Balance safety, quality, schedule, customer commitments, and cost in field decisions • Promote safe work practices and compliance with federal, state, local, customer, and Nextracker EH&S requirements • Perform related duties and travel to customer and construction sites as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Maintenance Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting installation tooling, construction equipment, industrial equipment, field service, equipment maintenance, or a related technical environment • Advanced working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems • Ability to read and apply schematics and technical documentation • Experience troubleshooting complex equipment problems, identifying root cause, and implementing safe, durable corrective actions • Experience independently leading technical work at active construction, manufacturing, industrial, or customer sites with changing priorities and limited supervision • Experience developing or delivering technical training and mentoring less-experienced technicians • Working knowledge of field safety practices, Job Hazard Analyses, equipment inspections, lockout/tagout, and applicable EH&S requirements • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to maintain accurate service, inventory, maintenance, and project documentation • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders • Ability to travel up to 100% as required • Ability to work extended or non-standard hours when necessary and support active construction sites • Preferred: experience with solar tracker installation tools, torque/tensioning equipment, hydraulic power units, electrical controls, calibration systems, or related renewable-energy construction equipment • Preferred: experience with forklifts, reach forklifts, skid steers or Bobcats, scissor lifts, aerial work platforms, laser levels, transits, and other construction or material-handling equipment • Preferred: current or previous certifications for forklift, aerial lift, OSHA/authorized safety training, first aid/CPR, or similar equipment and site-safety programs • Preferred: experience supporting multi-site deployments, customer-facing field service programs, new tool introductions, or equipment standardization initiatives • Preferred: experience using maintenance-management, service-ticketing, inventory, calibration, or enterprise documentation systems
