📋 Description

• Identify and qualify opportunities for NextSilicon's HPC accelerator technology across industry verticals, governmental institutions, and academic institutions • Port, benchmark, and optimize applications across CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and other high-performance computing technologies • Communicate the advantages of NextSilicon's approach to accelerating computing workloads to customers • Gather and summarize customer requirements for research and development teams • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify and qualify opportunities • Leverage and grow existing client networks to foster opportunity-pipeline growth • Formulate and justify requirements for future hardware and software generations • Liaise with technical experts and decision-makers at existing and potential customers • Provide consulting on maximizing technology value for specific customer use cases • Conduct and lead performance studies, code porting, and proof-of-concepts with the application support team • Assist sales partners in delivering winning proposals • Maintain existing client contacts and create new ones while seeking opportunities • Gather, qualify, document, and discuss customer requirements with product management and engineering • Provide competitive market insights and guidance to sales and engineering teams • Help partners develop technical answers, concise descriptions, and compelling value propositions for proposals • Assess and mitigate technology risks for clients and NextSilicon • Present the value of NextSilicon technology for different use cases to customers • Contribute to sales targets and other KPIs • Report activities and discuss plans with peers and management • Grow expertise in application classes, market verticals, competitor awareness, methodologies, and technical frameworks

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline (computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering) with a significant focus on scientific computing • At least 8 years of work experience in the field, including at least 4 years in the commercial sector • Candidates with fewer years may be considered if work experience is highly relevant and supported by an excellent track record, such as publications • Practical work experience with at least two computing architectures, such as CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, or vector processors • Practical expertise in at least two application areas, such as finite element methods, computational fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, high-energy or astrophysics, quantum chemistry, weather/climate simulations, or AI training and inference frameworks • Experience in at least two industry verticals is strongly desired, including government, academic, finance, oil & gas, manufacturing, telecommunications, engineering, or logistics • Strong parallel programming experience using both MPI and OpenMP • Strong C/C++ and Fortran background • Willingness to learn and expand Fortran experience • UNIX (Linux) and shell programming experience • Good presentation skills and customer-facing soft skills • Strong technical writing skills, including presentations, whitepapers, and blogs • US citizenship with eligibility to visit US government research facilities • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%, predominantly in North America and occasionally internationally • Masters or Ph.D. with relevant specialization is a plus • Python programming is a plus • Examples of peer-reviewed publications are a plus
