• Identify and qualify opportunities for NextSilicon's HPC and AI acceleration technology across industry verticals, governmental institutions, and academic institutions • Port, benchmark, and optimize applications across CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and other high-performance computing architectures • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify and qualify new opportunities • Leverage and grow existing client networks to foster opportunity-pipeline growth • Formulate and justify requirements for future hardware and software generations • Liaise with technical experts and decision-makers at existing and potential customers • Consult customers on maximizing value from NextSilicon technology for specific use cases • Conduct and lead performance studies, code-porting projects, and proof-of-concepts • Assist sales partners with winning proposals, technical requirements, answers, descriptions, and value propositions • Gather, qualify, document, and discuss customer requirements with product management and engineering • Provide competitive market insights and guidance to sales and engineering teams • Assess and mitigate technology risks for clients and NextSilicon • Present the value of NextSilicon technology for different use cases to customers • Work toward sales targets and other KPIs • Report activities and discuss plans with peers and management • Expand expertise in application classes, market verticals, competitors, methodologies, technical frameworks, and NextSilicon technologies
• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline (computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering) with a significant focus on scientific computing • At least 8 years of work experience in the field, including at least 4 years in the commercial sector • Practical work experience with at least two computing architectures (CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, vector processors, etc.) • Practical expertise in at least two application areas, such as finite element methods, computational fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, high-energy or astrophysics, quantum chemistry, weather/climate simulations, or AI training and inference frameworks • Experience in at least two industry verticals strongly desired, including government, academic, finance, oil and gas, manufacturing, telecommunications, engineering, or logistics • Strong parallel programming experience using both MPI and OpenMP • Strong C/C++ and Fortran background • Willingness to learn and expand Fortran skills • UNIX (Linux) and shell programming experience • Good presentation and customer-facing soft skills • Strong technical writing skills • US citizenship with eligibility to visit US government research facilities • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%, predominantly in North America and occasionally internationally • Master's or Ph.D. with relevant specialization is a plus • Python programming is a plus • Examples of peer-reviewed publications are a plus
