• Ensure delivery of high-quality spring water collected in compliance with FDA/IBWA requirements • Maintain current and accessible information on Niagara-utilized spring sources • Manage evaluation and qualification of new spring and water well sources for expansion plants and backup sources • Serve as primary point of contact and liaison to spring source owners • Maintain routine contact with spring owners and foster professional working relationships • Conduct spring source audits to ensure compliance with Niagara operating requirements • Monitor spring source water quality and changes or trends over time • Track spring source permits, expirations, and renewals • Develop and maintain databases and documentation supporting spring source SOI, hydrogeology, engineering, and permits • Provide technical support to spring owners upgrading or modifying facilities • Track regulatory changes pertaining to spring sources • Monitor land-use activities and potential contaminant threats near spring sources • Represent Niagara at regulatory and local community meetings when necessary • Partner on spring improvement work under cost-recovery agreements with spring owners and the Procurement team • Identify and evaluate spring sources near proposed expansion facilities • Evaluate technical merits and viability of prospective spring sources • Assist with spring site development layout and design • Prepare planning cost estimates for improvements needed to bring prospective springs online • Provide technical support to Niagara's Contracts Team • Seek and develop opportunities for Niagara-owned spring sources • Build and maintain database information for each spring source • Maintain water-quality databases and provide statistics and trend graphs when needed • Manage groundwater well siting, design, permitting, drilling, installation, testing, and maintenance • Conduct aquifer testing and water-quality sampling • Prepare documentation and reports • Support Niagara's Consumer Affairs Team with information for customer questions • Meet with customers and make presentations regarding spring-source quality and integrity • Supervise Geologist I and II positions as needed
• Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Geological Science or related field required • Licensed Professional Geologist (National Association of State Boards of Geology) required • At least 6+ years of experience in spring site evaluation, development, and permitting • Minimum 6 years of experience in the field or similar manufacturing environment • Minimum 6 years of experience in the position • Minimum 4 years of experience managing people/projects • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state-specific spring source and well regulations • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills • Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time; average travel is 3 weeks out of the month • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to walk and hike over uneven terrain for extended periods • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind • Master's Degree (MS) in Geological Science or related field preferred • 10+ years of experience in the field or similar manufacturing environment preferred • 10+ years of experience working in the position preferred • 6 years of experience managing people/projects preferred
