📋 Description

• Instruct and prepare patients for radiation therapy or simulations • Demonstrate knowledge of treatments and pertinent equipment • Prepare supplies and equipment for patient positioning and treatment accuracy • Assess patient pain that interferes with treatments and contact physicians for intervention • Room patients and provide direct patient care under physician or RN/LPN supervision or direction • Record medical histories • Prepare patients for treatments while considering individual age and abilities • Administer care according to patient needs • Follow departmental and radiation safety policies and procedures • Maintain infection control standards in treatment and patient-care areas • Clean and disinfect areas and change linen

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program • IEMA/IDNS qualification in Radiation Therapy Technology • ARRT licensure or eligibility for licensure • New graduates must obtain IEMA/IDNS qualification and ARRT licensure or eligibility within 3 months of graduation • Preferred: Bachelor of Science
