📋 Description

• Perform cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial hotel food service area • Support food service operations at the Kuik Cafe in Bethel, Alaska, at the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge • Wash food service area objects by hand or with cleaning equipment • Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other items and store them in assigned areas • Sweep, mop, wipe down, and clean food service areas and equipment • Remove garbage from assigned areas • Set up and break down tables • Assist cooks and coordinate activities with other food service operations • Prepare food safely and efficiently while following standard food-handling procedures • Assist with periodically scheduled large cleaning projects • Maintain product levels in preparation, serving, and storage areas, including service machines • Stock storage areas • Perform other duties pertinent to departmental or unit success

🎯 Requirements

• Some experience demonstrating working knowledge of food preparation and/or commercial kitchen equipment • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts • Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred • Some prior experience or training demonstrating knowledge of cleaning equipment/processes or suitability for and interest in this type of work preferred • Ability to stand constantly and walk frequently • Ability to occasionally lift, pull, and push • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
