📋 Description

• Clean, sweep, vacuum, mop, and restock remote camp, industrial, food service, office, kitchen, laundry, clinic, living, work, common, restroom, and public areas • Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, extract, wax, buff, and vacuum all types of floors • Dust low and high areas and clean various surfaces using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions • Remove, compact, transport, and properly dispose of trash and discarded materials • Change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance • Keep building entryways free of snow and debris • Operate a vehicle to work at remote locations when needed • Perform special laundry duties and scheduled cleaning tasks • Notify the supervisor when safety and sanitation standards are not being met • Work 12-hour shifts in a remote camp on the scheduled rotation • Travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps • Perform other duties pertinent to department or unit success

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent • At least one year of experience demonstrating working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes • At least one year of experience in commercial housekeeping • Must pass required pre-employment testing, which may include a drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test • Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with employees, customers, and clients • Must be able to make decisions with little to no supervision • Must be able to stand for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation • Must be able to live in dormitory-style settings and meet remote camp cleanliness requirements • Must speak, understand, read, and write English • Must comply with company and client safety guidelines and regulations • Must travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps • Must meet the listed physical and fit-for-duty requirements, including lifting, carrying, climbing stairs and ladders, squatting, kneeling, stooping, and twisting • Must work in indoor/outdoor conditions and tolerate frequent arctic exposure, moderate to loud noise, fumes or airborne particles, and possible toxic or caustic chemicals • Applicants outside the Anchorage area are responsible for travel expenses and accommodations related to required pre-employment tasks in Anchorage, with stated exceptions for certain Alaska residents
