📋 Description

• Maintain sanitation standards in commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, and serving areas • Assist cooks and coordinate activities within food service areas • Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, and meats • Maintain product levels in preparation, serving, and storage areas • Stock food service areas with products and materials • Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, kitchen, dining, storage areas, equipment, and floors • Perform scheduled large cleaning projects and remove garbage • Set up, break down, and clean tables, snack bars, display cases, and serving lines • Notify the supervisor when safety and sanitation standards are not being met • Perform other duties assigned to support department or unit success

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent • At least one year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or documented vocational training demonstrating knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, restaurant food preparation, and commercial cleaning processes • Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire • Must pass required pre-employment testing, which may include drug test, physical or fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team • Ability to make decisions with little to no supervision • Ability to stand for 12 hours per shift during the scheduled rotation • Ability to live in dormitory-style settings and meet remote-camp cleanliness requirements • Must speak, understand, read, and write English • Must follow company and client safety guidelines and regulations • Ability to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps • Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and completing the specified fit-for-duty tests
