• Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales organization • Lead the U.S. Cardiovascular Sales team through organizational and market changes • Develop and execute portfolio and product strategies to drive growth, customer adoption, and business results • Lead successful product launches • Champion a patient-centered culture aligned with Novartis Values & Behaviors • Set expectations and invest in coaching, development, and succession planning • Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Integrated Product Teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders • Use market insights, customer feedback, analytics, and performance data to identify opportunities and inform decisions • Optimize field resources, budgets, and organizational investments • Own national sales performance and financial accountability for the Cardiovascular portfolio • Adapt strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve growth objectives • Lead through influence, collaboration, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional alignment • Translate enterprise strategy into execution across matrixed organizations • Lead transformational change and deliver outcomes for patients, customers, and the business
• Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university • 12+ years’ experience in diverse commercial pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries • Experience with large, geographically dispersed sales teams • Consistent success in second-line sales leadership • Experience attracting, developing, and retaining diverse, effective teams • Candidates from complex sales environments such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B are welcomed • Experience leading teams focused on specialty therapeutic areas • Proven track record of successful product launches • Leadership experience in diverse, cross-functional settings such as operations, account management, marketing, and market access • Experience in complex sales environments involving physicians, managed markets, and/or accounts with restricted physical access • Ability to lead complex business initiatives and solve strategic challenges • Strong analytical thinking, sound decision-making, and financial acumen • Experience managing large-scale budgets • Understanding of U.S. market access dynamics, including payer landscape, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, and evolving healthcare delivery models • Ability to lead with confidence, humility, and resilience in complex and evolving environments • Ability to drive results through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional alignment • Success leading enterprise change and translating strategy into execution across matrixed organizations • Strong judgment, adaptability, and learning agility • Company will not sponsor visas for this position • Advanced degree preferred, including MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent • Preferred experience leading Cardiovascular or other specialty sales organizations, product launches, market expansion, organized customer environments, commercial transformation, talent development, and digital, analytics, and AI capabilities
