• Gathering, collating, and analyzing data of cow comfort measures on dairy farms. • Responsible for field implementation of the Novus C.O.W.S. program in the Western region of US. • Provide technical assistance with cow comfort field work and research, including analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. • Presenting at customer and industry events. • Support sales of ruminant products in collaboration with Novus Sales managers through leveraging C.O.W.S. service. • Build customer relationships and share industry knowledge to help customers, farmers and cattle. • Provide marketing intelligence, proactively sharing unique tools. • Participate in events such as trade shows, conferences, symposiums, customer trips, customer meetings, and internal meetings. • Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.
• Masters of Science or equivalent in animal sciences, marketing, business or related area. • Knowledge and understanding of the US ruminant market. • Initiative to ensure Novus’ resources are properly used to achieve maximum potential. • Team player to work with sales managers, technical support resources, marketing, and other team members. • Analytical skills to quantify practical business strategies and solutions to customer needs. • Interpersonal skills to build relationships as part of a cross-functional team. • Ability to work independently and with others. • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. • Accuracy and attention to detail. • Ability to manage project database and paperwork. • Ability to interact with dairymen and nutritionists in a comfortable and professional way. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAS). • Fluent English. • Spanish is a Plus. • Must be licensed, insurable and able to drive a motor vehicle. • Must be able to travel 3-5 days per week, 3 out of 4 weeks per month.
