📋 Description

• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive online learning environment • Interact with students fairly, professionally, and compassionately • Support and assess student academic achievement and growth • Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, participation, and meaningful discussion • Connect foundational science concepts to students’ future healthcare careers • Teach assigned asynchronous Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology courses in alignment with course objectives and university standards • Prepare accurate, organized courses before student engagement begins • Present complex scientific concepts in engaging, accessible, and relevant ways • Use instructional strategies and learning technologies to support student learning • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and grade assignments within 72 hours • Maintain an active faculty presence through announcements, discussion participation, and weekly course engagement • Hold at least one hour of virtual office hours each week • Record and share weekly course overview videos • Provide timely, constructive feedback • Maintain grades, attendance, and student records accurately • Communicate with Student Services and academic leadership about student concerns and course issues • Participate in faculty meetings, department activities, and university events as needed • Collaborate with faculty and colleagues to support student outcomes and academic excellence • Contribute to curriculum and course improvement initiatives • Stay current through continuing education, professional organizations, conferences, research, and professional reading • Participate in faculty development and share effective teaching practices

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, Biology, a related health science discipline, or another closely related field • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Pathophysiology • Strong written communication and organizational skills • Comfort with online learning platforms and virtual instruction • Passion for teaching, student development, and supporting student success • Doctoral degree or other terminal professional degree preferred • 2–3 years of higher education teaching experience preferred, preferably in Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, or a related discipline • Previous online teaching experience preferred • Experience teaching students preparing for careers in nursing or other healthcare professions preferred
