• Manage internal and/or external projects related to NuScale's Small Modular Reactor Technology • Lead a diverse cross-functional team advancing Small Modular Reactor design, fabrication, and deployment • Plan and execute project activities according to NuScale policies and procedures • Document and maintain the approved baseline, earned value planning and management, and project execution strategy in a Project Management Plan • Communicate project baselines and requirements to the project team • Interface with and support discipline managers and teams • Support performing organizations with advanced project knowledge and company priority information • Identify and resolve project problems and anticipated challenges, escalating issues when necessary through risk and issue management • Provide weekly and monthly status reports covering project performance, earned value metrics, variance analysis, schedule and cost risk mitigations, and issue resolution • Coordinate authorization of work and assignment of work package managers and qualified resources • Develop, maintain, and control project-specific plans and procedures • Maintain high-quality and timely task completion • Perform other duties as assigned • Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms
• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management or a related field dealing with a high degree of complexity and multiple interfaces • Demonstrated application of PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge principles and processes • Demonstrated application of integrated cost and schedule control or ANSI EIA-748-C Earned Value Management System practices • PMP certification or equivalent certification program completion preferred • Experienced leader for a licensed nuclear design project • Basic knowledge of Pressurized Water Reactor designs • Project management experience in the nuclear industry, energy industry, power plant architect/engineering, power plant engineering procurement construction, or US Department of Energy nuclear projects preferred • Understanding of the nuclear development environment and fabrication of components related to NSSS and reactor design • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 • Ability to understand and communicate clearly using phones, personal interaction, and computers • Ability to learn new job functions and comprehend new concepts quickly • Ability to travel locally and nationally using common forms of transportation
