📋 Description

• Leading execution of safety engineering processes to meet ISO 26262, ISO 21448 and ISO 8800 standards, with timely safety case completion • Promoting a positive safety culture and deployment of organizational processes by providing training, mentoring and tailoring • Acting as the primary point of contact for all safety related concerns during development and actively working to resolve identified issues • Collaborating with OEM and Tier1 partners to ensure that all aspects of the joint safety engineering development are carried out on time and according to plan

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred • At least 8 years of proven experience in automotive development and integration for safety related systems • Possess a deep understanding of functional safety and development processes needed to follow the ISO 26262 functional safety standard • A working knowledge of quality systems and tools, such as Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949 • Application of system safety methodologies & practices, including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, CPA • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
