📋 Description

• Own and execute the product roadmap for the Core Banking domain • Define the vision for a modern, configurable, multi-tenant core banking engine • Prioritize squad work against business outcomes, client needs, and platform strategy • Represent the domain in executive planning, client conversations, and board-level updates • Drive commercial outcomes tied to domain reliability and capability • Hire, develop, and performance-manage Builders in the Core Banking domain • Set expectations for AI-first execution, specification quality, and delivery velocity • Coach Builders on ledger integrity, posting models, and regulatory constraints • Serve as Nymbus’s authoritative core banking subject matter expert • Guide account hierarchies, sub-ledgers, posting models, batch processing, settlement, product configuration, integrations, data integrity, auditability, and loan servicing • Model AI-first practices using Kiro, Claude, and spec-driven development • Coordinate with Domain Owners, Architects, Shippers, Architecture, UX, QA, Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams • Own contracts between Core Banking and consuming domains • Ensure squad output meets quality and velocity standards

🎯 Requirements

• Technical product management leadership experience • Banking processes and product experience required • Experience at product or Fintech organizations • Active, hands-on experience with AI-assisted product design and development workflows • Demonstrated use of AI tools for specification, iteration, and problem-solving • Willingness to model AI-first practices for the entire domain • Comfort operating in a spec-first, AI-native development methodology • 8+ years in product, engineering, or technical leadership roles in core banking or financial services infrastructure • Deep hands-on experience with core banking platforms, including deposits, lending, or both • Expert-level understanding of ledger structures, posting models, and double-entry accounting as implemented in bank systems • Experience with loan servicing systems, including lifecycle management, payment application, accrual, and exception handling • Understanding of batch processing, settlement, and end-of-day reconciliation at operational depth • Experience with multi-tenant core banking platforms serving multiple financial institutions • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting core operations: Reg D, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg Z, TILA, RESPA, and BSA/AML • Experience navigating tradeoffs between configurability, correctness, and performance in core systems • Experience managing and developing product builders, engineers, or technical product managers • Track record of building high-performing teams that ship working software in high-stakes, correctness-critical domains • Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously • Experience making priority tradeoffs across competing demands with incomplete information • Comfort with direct accountability for commercial outcomes tied to platform reliability and capability • Strong understanding of database design, transaction processing, and distributed systems • Deep familiarity with ledger architecture, ACID compliance, and data consistency patterns • Ability to engage deeply in technical design discussions on posting engines, batch processing, and integration contracts • Experience with modern development workflows, CI/CD, and deployment practices for mission-critical systems • Understanding of performance engineering for high-volume transaction processing • Legally authorized to work in the United States
