• Assist with the construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs for all types of cooling towers. • Work diligently to assure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to OBR quality standards. • Always work safely and follow safe work procedures. • Assist with the installation of mechanical equipment including: motors, fans, gear boxes and drive shafts, mechanical supports and fan stacks. • Read blue prints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, dimensions of the structure or fixture. • Assist with the select of lumber and other materials to be used on the assigned job. • Assist with preparing layout, using rulers, tape measures, framing square and calipers. • Assist with marking cuts, holes and assembly lines on materials using pencil, chalk, and marking gage. • Assist with shaping materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and grinders. • Assist with assembling cut and shaped materials. • Assist with piping and nozzle installation. • Assist with the erection of framework. • Perform other work as directed by OBR Field Supervision.
• High school diploma, or equivalent • Valid Driver’s License or ID Card (also, must have reliable transportation) • Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience • Experience working in an industrial workplace • Ability work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy • Ability to select and use proper tools • Ability to compare and accurately determine differences in size, shape and form of objects • Ability to multi-task • Ability to work well with others • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
