📋 Description

• Perform proactive/prospective audits, retrospective/defense audits, and targeted and ad hoc charge capture audits • Work with clinical personnel during audits • Schedule audits, prepare action plans, and report during the Chart Audit Committee • Advise and provide expert consultation to clinical departments on charges and medical documentation • Assist with special projects and conduct internal training on revenue cycle competency and compliance • Perform defensive and charge capture auditing functions • Handle all aspects of the Chart Audit Committee • Communicate audit results with applicable stakeholders • Resolve assigned pre-bill and post-bill edit questions • Remain knowledgeable about applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards • Perform other related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice • 5 years of related healthcare experience, OR 3 years of related healthcare experience with a master's degree • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Strong conflict resolution skills • Strong presentation skills • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
