• Collaborate with Underwriting in the due diligence of prospective Hudson SDI customers • Provide feedback and risk improvement recommendations to Contractor partners • Jointly develop service plans tailored to individual customer needs and designed to reduce overall cost of risk • Support the complete SDI program lifecycle through consultation, training, control assessments, risk identification, customer feedback, project visits, program referral support, and customer meetings • Consult with customers and Hudson Claims management on administration, mitigation, and lessons learned from subcontractor default claims • Engage prospective clients through industry presentations, meetings, and related activities in coordination with Underwriting • Advance protocols and tools that reduce the overall cost of subcontractor default risk • Build credibility and customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk control services
• 7-10 (or more) years of direct construction experience; may include Contractor, Owner, or other related construction businesses • Strong, relatable working knowledge and understanding of the entire construction project lifecycle, including preconstruction, estimating, purchasing, project management, and project closeout • Direct experience with subcontractor prequalification, subcontractor selection, contracting, project/subcontractor management, scheduling, quality management, construction claims, and default management preferred • Ability to apply construction experience to a broad range of customers • Ability to consult effectively on a comprehensive range of construction management practices • Ability to identify exposures and assess controls on complex construction accounts • Flexibility in applying procedures relevant to contractor exposures, practices, and overall culture • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to listen effectively and make sound assessments/conclusions based on written procedures, discussions, and observations • Ability to make technical information and recommendations understandable to broad audiences • Ability to communicate in a manner that influences others to accept and act on recommendations • Self-starter focused on individual and professional development • Ability to manage schedule and resources, assess workload against business priorities, and direct own efforts while working remotely • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners • No travel restrictions, domestic or international • Valid driver’s license required • Successful completion of an E-Verify check required upon hiring
