📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical resource for the Business Development team • Translate OKSI's sensor and autonomous platform technologies into clear, customer-facing value propositions • Design and deliver live product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations for prospects and customers at OKSI, customer sites, and industry events • Write and contribute to technical volumes of proposals, capability statements, and white papers • Partner with Business Development Directors and customers to understand mission requirements and translate them into deliverable technical solutions • Collaborate with engineering and program teams to relay customer feedback, assess technical feasibility, and scope new opportunities • Evaluate competitor products and emerging technologies to help position OKSI's solutions effectively • Travel to tradeshows, demos, and industry events, potentially up to 50% • Work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field • 3+ years of experience combining a technical/engineering background with customer-facing, sales engineering, or applications engineering experience • Strong technical understanding of EO/IR sensor systems, autonomous platforms, and/or AI/ML-enabled sensing technologies • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience authoring technical proposal content • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, acquisition processes, and government contracting • Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret clearance • U.S. person status (export control requirement) • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events • Preferred: Direct experience with EO/IR sensors, hyperspectral imaging, or AI/ML applied to sensor data • Preferred: Strong understanding of DoD innovation pathways (e.g., SBIR/STTR, OTAs, Tech Transition) • Preferred: Experience supporting proposal capture activities for government or defense programs • Preferred: ITAR/export-controlled environment experience
