• Lead the structural analysis and design of railroad bridges and related structures for a variety of transportation projects. • Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports to ensure quality and accuracy. • Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering staff. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and practical design solutions. • Support project planning efforts by assisting with scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination. • Conduct quality control reviews and ensure compliance with applicable design standards, codes, and client requirements. • Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, railroads, and regulatory agencies throughout project development and delivery. • Assist with business development activities, including proposal preparation, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for future work. • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design files, calculations, correspondence, and technical deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field. • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience supporting railroad bridge and structure design projects. • Strong knowledge of railroad bridge design principles, structural analysis, and industry standards. • Experience leading technical design efforts and coordinating project deliverables. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required. • Experience with MicroStation, RISA 3D, and Bluebeam Revu. • Valid driver’s license and a good driving history. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.
