📋 Description

• Provide ongoing technical support for the organization’s Snowflake data warehouse environment • Provide architectural guidance and development assistance • Maintain the existing Snowflake platform • Resolve technical issues, including errors, performance issues, data-loading failures, and access-related problems • Promote data management best practices • Support expansion of Snowflake to additional data domains, business teams, and reporting solutions • Recommend corrective actions and preventative measures to reduce recurring issues • Design scalable data structures as new data sources and subject areas are added • Support Snowflake data feeds used by Tableau • Communicate architectural and technical recommendations to business and technology stakeholders • Potentially onboard new departments, teams, and data sources into the enterprise data warehouse • Document data models, architectural decisions, support procedures, and development standards

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience • Hands-on experience supporting and developing solutions within Snowflake • Strong understanding of cloud data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data integration • Experience troubleshooting Snowflake errors, performance issues, data-loading failures, and access-related problems • Ability to recommend corrective actions and preventative measures to reduce recurring issues • Experience designing scalable data structures as new data sources and subject areas are added • Knowledge of data management, data quality, security, governance, and warehouse development best practices • Experience developing or supporting Snowflake data feeds used by Tableau • Strong SQL development and optimization skills • Ability to communicate architectural and technical recommendations to business and technology stakeholders • Desired: experience with householding, customer, constituent, or account relationship data • Desired: experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud data into Snowflake • Desired: experience onboarding new departments, teams, and data sources into an enterprise data warehouse • Desired: knowledge of Tableau data sources, extracts, semantic layers, and portal integrations • Desired: familiarity with Snowflake cost management, performance optimization, monitoring, and resource governance • Desired: experience in higher education, nonprofit, advancement, marketing, or constituent-data environments • Desired: experience documenting data models, architectural decisions, support procedures, and development standards • SnowPro Core Certification preferred
