• Support Project Managers with projects at various stages of project planning, environmental compliance, permitting, and documentation • Review project materials, provide analysis, develop spreadsheets, perform data entry, maintain project tracking, and manage database entries and quality assurance tasks • Review project scopes of work and prepare draft cost estimates • Support Project Managers in overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Assist in improving program efficiencies and support schedule management • Provide peer trainings as needed • Conduct environmental desktop analysis of sensitive resources • Support environmental construction monitoring • Write and review reports • Interact with company professionals and client contacts • Maintain confidentiality • Follow Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including required safety training • Keep current on industry trends through formal training, professional publications, and professional workshops • Perform other duties as assigned
• BS or MS in planning, environmental science, biology, ecology, or a similar field • 1 to 3 years of professional experience as an environmental scientist/specialist, biologist, ecologist, planner, or equivalent in California, with experience pertaining to environmental compliance • Knowledge of current environmental regulations, including CESA, FESA, CEQA, and NEPA • Exposure to project management tasks • Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines • Proven leadership skills; ability to identify problems and devise appropriate solutions • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Strong organizational and management skills • Ability to communicate in a group-oriented setting and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders • Knowledge of computer-aided software, including Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and ArcGIS • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors • Ability to follow Company safety rules and OSHA regulations • Ability to maintain confidentiality
