📋 Description

• Frame analytical questions with mission owners and turn them into testable designs • Build analyses and models in Python and SQL on AWS cloud-native data platforms • Develop forecasting, classification, risk-scoring, and anomaly-detection models • Design model evaluations with baselines, validation designs, error analysis, documented limits, and verifiable documentation • Build analytical features and datasets from large, messy, document-heavy corpora • Extract text with Amazon Textract and analyze it with foundation models through Amazon Bedrock • Harden one-off notebooks into repeatable, reviewed analytical pipelines • Present findings to decision-makers in plain language with effective visualizations • Use AI-assisted analysis, language models, and coding assistants across the lifecycle • Collaborate with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists across client assignments • Carry federal-agency analytical questions from data to defensible, documented answers

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of applied data science or statistical modeling experience • Bachelor's degree • Strong working command of Python and SQL • Working knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and model validation • Familiarity with cloud-based data and analytics services on AWS • Ability to carry an analysis from question to defensible, documented answer • Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel • Initial engagement requires United States citizenship • Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination • Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field • Preferred: Experience with modern data tools and platforms, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3 with Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, or Trino • Preferred: Experience applying large language models to analytical work, such as Amazon Bedrock or comparable services • Preferred: Data-visualization craft, from chart design through dashboards and charting libraries • Preferred: Federal information technology experience • Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
