Operation Smile is a global nonprofit organization that provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries and comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to children and families in low-resource communities. For more than 40 years it has run surgical programs, trained local medical teams, supported speech therapy and follow-up care, and partnered with governments and NGOs to strengthen local health systems and expand access to safe surgery. The organization is volunteer-led, relies on fundraising and partnerships, and focuses on education, advocacy, and sustainable capacity-building.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and deepen relationships with existing Operation Blessing partners • Build voice-to-voice relationships with partners and donors • Convey the ongoing needs of Operation Blessing ministries • Explain how partner gifts can generate greater impact and reach • Support ministry activities and contribute to OB’s mission of meeting physical and spiritual needs • Articulate Operation Blessing’s programs, mission, and purpose to donors • Work with donors and CBN/OB staff • Manage multiple assignments and consistently meet deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of cultivating relationships via telephone and other communication methods while improving revenues through relationship building • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills • Ability to interact with donors and CBN/OB staff positively and professionally • Strong working knowledge of fundraising principles and practices • Strong knowledge of Biblical principles and doctrine • Strong project and time management skills • Ability to multitask assignments • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to speak persuasively and articulate OB’s programs, mission, and purpose • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database software • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail • Discretion, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as an effective team member • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines • Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices aligned with OB’s nonprofit Christian mission • Agreement with Operation Blessing’s mission and purpose
