📋 Description

‱ Provide athletic training services for assigned schools, school systems, sports clubs, organizations, community sporting events, and other community activities ‱ Manage athletic injuries under the supervision of the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and/or designated Team Physicians ‱ Case manage and navigate injured athletes/patients requiring referral to a higher level of care ‱ Maintain athlete demographic and insurance records ‱ Facilitate physician appointments and attend appointments when feasible and permitted ‱ Educate athletes, parents, coaches, and other stakeholders regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options ‱ Call athletes after surgery and serve as the primary contact for post-operative questions ‱ Liaise with stakeholders regarding injury status and return-to-play decisions ‱ Market and promote Optim physicians, services, and facilities in the community ‱ Serve as Optim relationship manager for school personnel, parents, students, and community stakeholders ‱ Assist school nursing with athletic injuries and implement faculty/staff wellness programs ‱ Provide healthcare education and coordinate CPR/first aid certification for faculty and staff ‱ Partner with local primary care providers on non-orthopedic injuries, sports physicals, and referrals ‱ Provide injury-prevention education and injury consultations to recreational sports organizations ‱ Network with civic clubs and local media outlets ‱ Develop and implement community education activities on injury prevention ‱ Participate in Optim-sponsored community events ‱ Complete weekly, monthly, and annual reports ‱ Attend required departmental meetings and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

‱ Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential/qualification ‱ Must provide services in accordance with the Georgia State Athletic Training Practice Act ‱ Must practice in accordance with the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) standards ‱ Ability to travel as needed to assigned schools, school systems, sports clubs, organizations, community sporting events, and other community activities ‱ Ability to manage athletic injuries under designated team physician supervision ‱ Ability to case manage/navigate injured athletes or patients requiring referral to a higher level of care ‱ Ability to maintain athlete demographic and insurance records ‱ Ability to facilitate physician appointments and communicate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options ‱ Ability to complete weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements ‱ Ability to attend required departmental meetings ‱ Analytical, problem-solving, and project management competencies
