đź“‹ Description

• Direct the activities of nursing departments for assigned locations • Oversee nursing staff schedules, activities, productivity, patient-care coverage, and overtime control • Implement the centralized scheduling model with the Area Director of Nursing • Ensure services comply with company standards, laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policies • Oversee selection, development, monitoring, supervision, evaluation, recruitment, discipline, and termination of nursing personnel • Ensure nurses maintain professional nursing practice standards • Drive supply formulary compliance and adequate patient-supply levels • Prepare, obtain approval for, and implement departmental operating and expenditure budgets • Coordinate patient services with pharmacy, delivery, reimbursement, and other internal and external departments • Manage purchasing and expedited delivery of medical supplies and equipment within budget • Assess, manage, report, and analyze nursing operational and financial data and develop process-improvement plans • Ensure collection and organization of patient information for home-care suitability decisions • Assess patient suitability and verify medical conditions and prescribed therapies for home care • Provide continuing education and competency/orientation programs for healthcare practitioners on home infusion issues • Ensure on-call processes for nursing departments • Facilitate the agency's clinical networking system and act as a clinical resource • Spend approximately 90% of time managing nursing operations and the remainder providing clinical patient care

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a license in the current state of practice • At least 6 years of home health/infusion care experience • Minimum 3 years in a nursing leadership role within a home care setting • Experience applying local, state, federal, accrediting-body, and OSHA rules and regulations • Demonstrated competency managing home infusion patients • Knowledge and competency in patient management and the nursing process • Knowledge of documentation and billing requirements for home health/infusion goods and services • Time-management skills for prioritizing, organizing, tracking details, and meeting multiple deadlines • Experience providing training and developing clinical-services processes, documentation, and user manuals • Experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expenses and budgets • Basic Microsoft Word skills • Basic Microsoft Excel skills • Basic Microsoft PowerPoint skills • Willingness to travel 25% of the time for business purposes within and outside the state • California-specific alternative: BSN or bachelor's degree in a health-related field plus 3 years of recent relevant experience, or RN plus 4 years of recent relevant experience including one supervisory or administrative year • Preferred: BSN with CRNI or other professional certification and advanced management training • Preferred: at least 4 years of home health/infusion experience
