📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day clinical support for parenteral nutrition patients • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop and implement nutrition care plans • Provide nutrition education and guidance to patients, caregivers, and clinical staff • Conduct clinical reviews of new enteral and parenteral patients for home suitability, safety, clinical appropriateness, reimbursement, and formulary compliance • Educate patients on parenteral and enteral nutrition in person or by phone • Participate in or lead PN patient discussions during team meetings • Collaborate with pharmacy and nursing teams on PN patient care plans • Support nutrition-related sales activity, account relationships, strategic sales planning, and program implementation • Act as liaison to nutrition support physicians, teams, customers, and sales staff • Monitor nutrition therapy clinical key performance indicators and implement improvement action plans • Develop and evaluate continuing education, orientation, and in-service education programs • Assist with orientation and training of Registered Dietitians, sales professionals, and nutrition-support staff • Work as a field-based RD and support assigned Care Management Centers remotely • Use clinical data to identify nutrition-related problems, select interventions, track progress, and document patient records • Participate in professional organizations and the on-call Dietitian Rotation • Safeguard confidential patient and proprietary information • Accept other assigned responsibilities and duties

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with a license/certification in the current state of practice, as appropriate • Two years of experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition as a nutrition support professional • Board Certification in Nutrition Support or intent to receive within 1 year of hire • Current CPR certification if patient facing • Ability to travel within assigned territory and attend required meetings • Leadership and supervisory skills • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate clinical programs • Ability to educate and empower staff to implement nutrition service processes in the home care setting • Flexibility and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team • Effective verbal and written communication • Self-directed and able to work without the presence of an immediate supervisor • Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office software • Ability to work under stressful conditions • Advanced degree in nutrition or business preferred • Candidates must currently reside in CT, DE, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, or VT
