📋 Description

• Serve as first-chair trial counsel in civil litigation matters, leading cases through verdict • Independently manage complex litigation cases from inception through resolution • Develop and execute trial strategies, including witness preparation and evidence presentation • Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and oversee pretrial proceedings • Draft and argue substantive motions and represent clients in court • Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risks to develop practical defense strategies • Collaborate with clients and fellow attorneys to achieve favorable outcomes • Travel throughout California for trials, court appearances, and proceedings

🎯 Requirements

• Active membership in the California State Bar required • Demonstrated first-chair trial experience with successful results required • 4+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; strong candidates with slightly less experience considered • Strong deposition, motion practice, case management, and courtroom advocacy skills • Insurance defense, personal injury defense, or general liability litigation experience preferred • Ability to independently manage cases and lead trial proceedings • Willingness to travel throughout California for court appearances and trials • Experience with complex liability, personal injury defense, and insurance litigation
