📋 Description

• Perform data science or analytics assignments, investigations, and visualization tasks • Deliver results according to Oshkosh and general industry engineering standards and processes • Support senior data analysts/scientists with analytics work, plans, designs, data processing, visualization, and reporting • Work on complex projects within advanced engineering groups and cross-functional teams • Collaborate with data science, data engineering, software, internal engineering, business support, and external component supplier teams • Establish and execute data analytics strategies for telematics, cloud hosting, data file systems, preprocessing, and engineering applications • Develop advanced diagnostics and prognostics and support validation and verification of intelligent preventive maintenance strategies using statistics and machine learning • Research new technologies in cloud-based data analytics and establish project requirements, estimates, test plans, milestones, and roadmaps • Process and analyze data on Hadoop Distributed File Systems for different vehicle platforms • Manipulate high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying cloud or on-premises sources to identify patterns, anomalies, relationships, and trends • Support or lead development of intelligent controls for on- and off-road vehicles and machinery • Assist or direct feasibility studies and project estimates • Support or direct proposal development for government funding of advanced data analytics and control systems programs • Provide insight to service and engineering design teams to improve maintenance and product design • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or related field • Five (5) or more years of related experience • Work experience in statistics, artificial intelligence, data analytics or machine learning • Working knowledge of telematics interfaces • Working knowledge of Hadoop data file systems • Working knowledge of data processing techniques such as Kafka, Impala, or Map Reduce • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases • Working knowledge of data modeling and data virtualization tools • Programming experience in Python, R or Java/C/C++ • Regular attendance is required • May need to be a U.S. Person for positions involving controlled goods and technologies under ITAR/EAR
