📋 Description

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on ground support equipment (GSE) • Service diesel- and electric-powered vehicles, hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems • Work onsite mainly at Chicago International Airport • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems • Interface with PLC systems to upload/download programs, troubleshoot logic, and adjust control systems • Collaborate with dealer technicians by phone, email, or onsite • Review technical documentation, manuals, and schematics • Maintain detailed work-order documentation, issue resolution records, and service reports • Participate in OEM testing and equipment upgrades • Provide end-user product orientation and safe operating procedures at customer sites • Mentor or train junior and less-experienced technicians in the field • Travel to other airports within the continental United States as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication; or previous relevant contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Previous GSE experience required • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repair • Proficiency in mechanical systems and component-level service • Proficiency in hydraulic diagnostics and repair • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to obtain a passport if necessary • Must be able to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment • Willingness and ability to travel outside of ORD 40–50% of the time
