📋 Description

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information to clinical staff and patients regarding products, services, and general procedures • Schedule return appointments and other assigned appointments • Gather accurate appointment, demographic, and insurance information to support clinical and financial needs • Update insurance and other patient information as needed • Coordinate physician and consumer requests and satisfy their needs in one transaction • Solve routine and complex customer problems and direct customers to appropriate resources • Communicate regularly with clinical staff, medical secretaries, and product/service-line staff • Create a positive first impression • Use electronic medical record, scheduling, registration, ABN, eligibility, and document management software

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • PC Knowledge • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment • Preferred: Associate's Degree • Preferred: At least 1 year experience in a Patient Revenue role at OSUWMC • Experience with Windows, Excel, and intranet/internet navigation tools and system content • Medical terminology, coding, and third-party reimbursement experience • Ability to work in multiple systems for assigned tasks, management, and reporting • Strong problem-solving and presentation skills • High level of customer service skills • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment • Prior experience with scheduling patients preferred • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask preferred • Experience working in EPIC preferred • Successful completion of a background check required for final candidates • Drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process
