📋 Description

• Lead strategic and technical development and use of AI solutions across scientific domains in Otsuka R&D • Implement Data Science and AI portfolio objectives across Discovery, Preclinical, and Clinical drug development stages • Develop data and analysis strategies leveraging AI • Identify and apply innovative analytical solutions using machine learning, tokenization, and digital health technologies • Develop advanced analyses for digital, sensor, metabolomics, proteomics, and genomics data • Investigate proof-of-concept initiatives and develop applications using LLMs and Generative AI • Assess feasibility and impact of integrating Gen AI, LLMs, and small AI models into workflows • Support cross-functional scientific data analyses and evidence generation throughout the drug lifecycle • Create awareness and integrate AI/ML technologies into R&D processes • Optimize data and analytics systems and execution • Guide evaluation, selection, and analysis planning for transitional and digital biomarkers and clinical-trial data • Lead planning, development, and implementation of data science solutions using novel AI methodologies • Guide team members and foster innovation and collaboration • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on emerging data science and analytics technologies • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting portfolio success • Provide insights on AI/ML trends to influence the technical roadmap and strategy • Build internal and external presence through publications in conferences and journals • May assist with overseeing data or AI scientists, managing resources, providing training, and advising cross-functional teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI and advanced data sciences within pharmaceutical or Bio-Tech R&D industries • Expertise in scientific data analyses in drug development and real-world data assets, including biomarkers, endpoints, and scientific or value evidence • Proficiency in AI, Generative AI, and machine learning techniques and relevant tools, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, LLMs, and related technologies • Expertise in digital health technologies and their applications in pharmaceutical research • Strong project management skills • Ability to guide team members on AI and other methodologies • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to communicate with logic, clarity, and respect • Ability to remain current with AI/ML industry trends and advancements • Ability to build an external presence through publications in relevant conferences and journals
